On April 2025, at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) NCR Campus NRITTA: Aazadi ki Kahani was presented by ‘Natyarpana’, the university dance team, as it hosted its annual dance production with a theme centered around the Indian freedom struggle - "Azaadi ki kahani." This performance encompassed the struggle that our ancestors and many freedom fighters had to undergo to attain freedom. Those struggles were represented through intricate dances and visual storytelling techniques. The dancers and actors brought the painful memories of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, the Swadeshi movement, the Home Rule League movement, the Satyagraha movement, and the non-cooperation movement using the skills and talents to remind each Indian of the various struggles that one had to endure to obtain freedom. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta is an imminent journalist and an educator. He was the erstwhile editor of the "Economic and Political Weekly''. With a career that spans 39 years, he is a man of many talents as he is a Publisher and Documentary Filmmaker. He can speak, anchor, interview and teach in three languages: English, Bengali, and Hindi. He delivered a speech at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) NCR Campus on the topic "Voices Unleashed: Navigating Freedom of Expression in Contemporary India," held on January 31, 2024. He spoke about how freedom of speech can be used in the best ways through various challenges.
